Tamistwins Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Hi there I haven't been posting in quite a while because my life is quite hectic and depressing to say the least. I am looking for recommendations for a good pediatric llmd near northern NJ. Dr. Bryant was once referred to me but he is not taking new patients at the moment. I just found out my 2 yr old is positive on the WB Positive (A) the bands present are 41kd, 23 kd, this is positive by CDC criteria. So now I am dealing with PANDAS for all 3 children plus definite lyme on 2 and clinical bartonella for the third, no positive blood work. Any suggestions on doctors? thank you, Tami
sf_mom Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Tami, I am so sorry a third child has been diagnosed. I understand and sympathize with your situation all too well. I look forward to the day of just having one or two individuals done with treatment and often have to remind myself... all in good time. BUT, I wanted to add that our twins were diagnosed at a fairly young age. Its a lot easier dealing with their symptoms, we've seen huge advancements and they tend to recover faster 'per LLMD'. Sorry, I don't have any additional recommendations on a Dr. in the immediate area. I just wanted to provide hope that due to her age it will be easier treatment process and she will hopefully not suffer the full extent of symptoms your older children have to date. -Wendy

My little one has been on antibiotics from a young age due to PANDAS so hopefully that was helping him to some extent. BUt I do see his separation anxiety and ocd getting worse at times. He is different from my other two, he is very verbal which is great because he can tell me his symptoms. He waxes and wanes, for the most part he is such a pleasure and happy child. I am speaking with Rose now thank you for her number
sf_mom Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Sorry, I don't know why I assumed your youngest was a DD. So glad you are talking with Rose. I know she has attended a great support group in your area and where you might pick up a good reference for a local Dr. Us too, younger ones on antibiotic since 2 1/2 years of age for PANDAS. They are now 4 1/2, attending preschool school and treated for Lyme one year. LLMD wanted to be done with treatment by the time they entered kindergarten. We will see. I will also say.... once you get into a groove of treatment its not so bad. I tend to have one holding at fairly close to recovery 'older son' but also treated the most aggressively. A 2nd child that is maintaining and one that needs a little more attention. Never are they all doing horribly at the same time. Recently our younger DD switched progress with our younger DS. BUT, honestly just glad we are getting this behind us at such a young age. Wishing you all the best and plenty of fortitude as you treat. -Wendy
