beeskneesmommy Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 OK, sorry for this one but do probiotics cause greeish poop? My son does not let any veggies (especially not green) cross his lips. Why is his poop turning green when there have been no changes in diet?? Should I be alarmed?
Kiera Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 You know my ds has the same problem off and on. Doesn't eat veges either, it's not all the time, just every once in a while this completely bright nasty looking green color and I can't relate it to anything in particular, he's been on the same probiotic for a long time mow. Sorry not much help here, hope some others might have an answer!

SSS Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 Green poo in the bio-med world tends to mean 'bad' bacteria in the gut dying off- so perhaps by adding a probiotic ('good' bacteria') it caused some of the 'bad' bacteria that was in there to dye off/vacate.
beeskneesmommy Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 Tam - thank you, but no blue here - we are dye and preservative free. S&S - How interesting! This is good, right? Darn, I skipped his probiotic today. SO hard to time it between food intake and abx 3 x day with a little guy!
