KaraM Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 Hi, We'll be arriving in New Haven late morning/early afternoon. Any advice on what to do with a 9 and 11 year old? Thanks, Kara
LNN Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 The only two places I think of in New Haven is Yale and Toad's Place - which is a bar where you can hear semi-famous bands. Not exactly what you're looking for. You can walk around the campus or go to one of Yale's art museums or the crypts in Center Church. Try ctvisit.com for other ideas. There's also a huge IKEA store on the south side of the city.
ptcgirl Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 My dd11 and I just got back from there from GA. We love New Haven and truly enjoy our time there. We have toured the campus, shopped, gone to the free art museum, the Yale Peabody museum, and eaten at a couple of great restaurants (Frank Pepe's Pizzeria napoleon or something like that was the BEST). Depending on how much time you have you can go to the beach (we went to a state park in Milford) or take a train to NYC (which we had a ball in as well). Getting to travel is the only part of having all of these dr visits that we enjoy! Hope you have a good time!
momaine Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 There is a movie theater 5 minutes from the office.
