We are currently in a pulse mode for abx and are entering 1 week off for DD. As I mentioned yesterday, she has been in a 3 month long "situation". I'm glad to see that it is not just my child. But I am putting my thinking cap on and am betting that toxons are playing into the reason for the herx. If I have 1 week off of abx, what can I be doing for her to help wit hthe toxin load. We also just found out that DD is severly constipated.

 

She is currently taking chlorella and eating a lot of apples. Plus using homeopathic drops for her liver and kidneys. Now that she isn't on abx I will be able to give her charcoal and a lot more probiotics. But are there other suggestions that I might be missing?

Epsom salt baths are helfput. Our LLMD said to add 2 cups of Epsom Salt and 2 cups of baking soda. Soak for at least 20 minutes. Longer if possible. From what I understand, Epsom salt baths are also supposed to help with constipation (not positive thought).

 

We also use charcoal capsules. 4 or 5 added to some dark juice (or oreos broken up in milk). If you can get past the black color it turns the beverage into, the taste isn't an issue. Texture is a little grainy.

Constipation was an issue for us but once we got that under control, my son's symptoms seemed to ease up. We use Tru-Fiber which you mix in a couple of ounces of juice. We also do lots of lettuce, pears, and lots of water. When things get really backed up, I bring out the dates and cut off dairy. My son also takes magnesium which is supposed to help. You can do all of the detox you want, but if you're not getting rid of it, then it's probably going to make things worse. I think apples are constipating but I did read that anything that begins with a p is good for constipation, i.e., pears, peaches.

When I came off abx recently, my body wanted the milk thistle (silymarin) for a week or two. I hadn't been on it during months of abx, I think because it can interfere with the abx (by detoxing it). I am also on red root recently and it is good for detox as well.
