Okay, the pediatrician's nurse called today and said that the lab results were already in for them. They are still on their way to Dr. T in NJ though, so I will jsut wait to talk to him on the results. Anyhow, she gave me a few names and such on the lab values. I will be getting the lab copies in the mail tomorrow, so I can then update, but from what she said goes like this: the ASO and Dnase titers were all normal although my son had a confirmed rapid strep about 6-7 weeks ago. (shock).Tthe mycoplasma igM and IgG was high in me and my son. My M. pneu IgG was at 1.1, which she said was extremely high. She said his regular IgG and stuff was normal. My regular IgG and IgA were pretty low. She said my daughter's regular IgA was low but with no mycoplasma. I am curious as to what you all think? Again, i will get numbers either tomorrow or Thurs when the copies get here, but I am kinda shocked that the strep wasn't there in the bloodwork.

Jenbug-

Negative titers are really meaningless in your case. If you read through Buster's studies pinned at the top, you will see that a study showed something like 30% of people do not show those titers after strep. Positive titers are indicative of a recent infection, negative titers really tell you nothing. Dr T knows this very well. He also knows they are considering a name change to PANS, because other things, specifically mycoplasma can be a trigger for pandas. You really don't need to evaluate titers, IMHO, if you have had a positive rapid.

dcmom--thanks! That is a relief. However, I am wondering about hte immunoglobulin levels--could that mean a primary immune deficiency?
