We are going on 4 weeks post IVIG. Ian has redeveloped some vocal tics that are constant. They bother him, they are driving us nuts. Obviously he can't help it. But the thing that worries me is I thought we were suppose to see some improvement after IVIG? I know we have to wait a few weeks. But the fact that the tics are getting worse and worse, worries me. His OCD is still about the same and so is his defiance. I really hoped to see more improvement by week 4. But the ramped up worse symptoms seem to be staying. :( He was tested negative for Lyme through IGNEX. Am I hoping for improvement too early? Has anyone else seen things get worse even at 4 weeks and beyond, to eventually get better and do really well?

I don't know if I could be much help here but my ds (17) who had very little tics ( very private vocal tics) before IVIG began to have a significantly worsening of tics after IVIG.( again vocal--humming like tics) Our last IVIG was done about 6months ago and his tics became once again like private, unnoticeable kind of thing for last 4-5 weeks.

His tics were pretty bad when they first happened about9 years ago but as he got older, his tics subsided and became almost unnoticeable.
