I have 2 1/2 more weeks and I'll be med free. I'm finally almost there. I called and asked the dentist and I have 4 dental Amalgams (Silver Fillings) in my mouth. I've decided to get them removed and replaced with composites. I contacted an angel rescue person from the generation rescue site that has been through the detoxing of mercury and got a recomendation of who was good for that. I have a consultation set up in a couple weeks. They said they would take x-rays, test my antidioxant levels, come up with a treatment plan and be able to give me an estimate of the total cost to get them removed. They'll also explain how they do it, etc.

Has anyone else had their silver fillings replaced. I know its probably the best if I get them removed so that's why I'm doing it then followed by chelation therapy. From the pictures on the internet it looks like its really scarry with the mask on, etc. I'm really nervous about it.

Then this angel rescue person from the generation rescue site recommended transdermal dmps for chelation therapy after my fillings are replaced. What do you all think on that? Is that the best way to go? I know there are others like DMSA, Glutathione, Alpha-lipoic acid, and Chlorella.

I had more then half of my silver fillings taken out four years ago and I feel that my thoughts are clearer now if that makes sense. However, I moved out of New York and didn't finish the job. Funny that you posted this today for I went to a dentist today to see what the cost would be to take the other three out but the price down here is a bit much for our family budget right now.

As for chelation, NDF is very cheap compared to DAN doctor visits who prescribe various DMSA treatments and if it works is really a wow. So you might want to look into that. Chlorella falls into the NDF range in that if what they say about it is true then wow. However, be careful for even if it does work and I tend to think that it may it is said that some of the products out there have been polluted so do your research on that. DMSA stinks so you might want to take that in consideration if you plan on using the cream vs the pill. There is also a drink form that is suppose to be very effective but I am told by a parent that it tastes horrible and also smells dreadful. If you need to by pass the stomach and want to skip on the lotion then DMSA can also be taken thru a supposortory. WE love Glutathione lotion and it has a slight smell and is kind of sticky but we feel that it is doing wonders with the DMSA for our son.

The person who went thru detox and is advising you would know more about this then me, however,

I Hope I was of some assistance, good luck and be well.

Carolyn,

I know the mask picture you saw may look scary, however, I had a fractured amalgam filling replaced not that long ago. I had read very little about this at that time, but did ask my dentist if they were safe. He said amalgam does not cross the blood/brain barrier and said "yes" he considered them safe. He went on to remove and replace the filling. I swallowed a small piece of something, so if I show up here, thinking it's the cooking channel chat, you'll know why.

I think the reason for the masks are, when they remove the fillings, the dust that is released should not be inhaled. The only other thing I have read is taking vitamins, some even do an IV during removal, and the extra precautions taken for the dental team and the patient regarding carefully removing, and not inhaling/swallowing the the debris. I think that is way less scary than what happened to me. I have 1 filling in my mouth, wouldn't you know it would have to fracture within months of my becomming aware of this. There were no precautions of any kind taken during the removal.

Is the, almost med free causing you any problemes? It sounds like you're doing well and really commited. I sure hope this road leads you to a wonderful place.

My Mom had a root canal yesterday, I had told her to ask about a different material for filling especially if they were going to put a crown on anyway. She said when she asked about this, they said they do not use amalgam in their office, at all. This was the first time I had heard such a thing. Could this be a dentists way of not being put in a position of ethically not being able to disclose that they think it's dangerous?
