vegetable juicing ..

Recommended Posts

Hi Dan,

Just remember that juicing is a very slow go. I suggest that your whole family jucie together so all may feel the benefits. Also, not mentioned anywhere on this site is your ph level. An alkaline body is resistent to disease. Whereas an acidic body will be host to many nasty things including cancer. Juicing greens is a great way to keep the body alkaline. Right now my PH level is at 7.5 and my little one is about 5.5. Between 4 and 7 is the normal range. At any Walmart or local pharmacy you can pick-up test strips and test your first morning urine. The color indicator will tell you your level. I learned about this important fact while jucing and being able to feel the stress level drop through stressful times. This caused me to search out more reasons to juice. The PH - high alkaline just fell into place. An acidic body creates nerves, stress and anxiety. So go out and get a test strip and see where your child is at, it is a great barometer.

Be Well,

Marie

Dan;

I beleive your in the zone. I would change deit if you were acidic, like 4 and lower. I look at PH a little differently. You see in my line of work I read soil testing sometimes and PH in the soil is very important. If the soil is to acidic it will grow weedy, thorny type plants and if it has to much PH it will not grow much at all. The ideal range is between 4 and 8. As with nature our bodies will have a similar reaction to acidity/alkalinity. No, we will not grow thorny plants, but we will get disease or with proper levels remain healthy. When your urine was checked was it the first mornings urine? I ask this only because what you drink or eat during the day will give you a false result. It must be the first urine of the morning.

Be well,

Marie

mmazz,

What brand of juicer would you recommend. We returned the last one we bought due to the hardship of cleaning it and it seemed to have a hard time with the carrots.

Hi Andy,

I agree some of the juciers out there are a real pain to clean. The one I use is a Norwalk Jucier and it is dishwasher safe. It juices everything from carrots to parsely and ever grinds flax seeds. You can grind your own flour, frozen juice can be made into sherbert. It truely is an amazing machine. There is only one pit fall and that is the price. I got mine used on E-Bay and even on E-Bay it is expensive. But the juice that you get from that machine compares to no other. Check out the Norwalk website for all the information. I suggest that if you are truely interested check out E-Bay for it.

Be Well,

Marie

Thanks Marie, we went thru two brand name juicers already. One broke over time and the other returned due to hassel of cleaning and not really doing the job. We will look into the Norwalk for I believe in your line of thought of the juicer being a life time solution with helping the body.
