Update on Madeleine Cunningham and PANDAS/PITAND study

A notice was received via the Pandas Resource Network that Dr Cunningham will be temporarily suspending her study/open research trial (to determine if particular anatibodies in blood serum can be used to assist in the diagnosis of PANDAS/PITAND.) Dr Cunningham is the head of the lab at the University of Oklahoma and requested that this be posted on the Forum.

 

Please note that they will not be sending more boxes out, and those that are out must be signed by March 31.

 

 

 

MESSAGE FROM DR CUNNINGHAM'S OFFICE:

Hi, just found out that I have to put a hold on sending anymore boxes out because our IRB (inst. Review board) forms will expire on the 31^st of march so we have to go thru the amendment procedure which will result in new forms.... And all the boxes that are out, must be signed by the 31^st of march.... Nothing like last minute notification... if you could post this on your wesite/ACN I would appreciate it. The university will not allow us to accept any signature after the 31^st of march.

 

If they need to do a draw, have them freeze the serum and when we get our amended forms, we can ship new boxes out and get started again. I hate all this red tape.... Sorry Please pass this on to anyone that might be affected and feel free to post this information to any group page (yahoo, facebook, ACN/Latitudes forum) as soon as possible.
