Ok, finally got the results of my daughter's Igenex back! I have to run for another appointment for her soon, so will have to research more later, but wondered if anyone has information on where I can learn more about specific bands and what they mean. Here are her results:

Western Blot

IgM Result:

All negative except:

**41 kDa = Ind

IgG Result:

All negative except:

**31 kDa = Ind

**39 kDa = Ind

**41 kDa = ++

B. microti IFA:

B. Microti IgM = <20

B. Microti IgG = <40

HME panel:

E. chaffeensis IgM = 80

E. chaffeensis IgG = <40

HGE panel:

A. phagocytophilum IgM = <20

A. phagocytophilum IgG = <40

B. henaelae IFA:

B. henselae IgM = <20

B. henselae IgG = <40

If anyone has any research lit or links on this, please let me know.

Also, if you have the name of a good LLMD, I would be so appreciative... Thanks!!

FYI - I fixed the links in the helpful threads post. If they don't work (they did when I just tested them, but you never know), let me know and I'll try again.

What part of the country are you in - and do you have a preference for protocols - aggressive abx, mix of abx+ naturals?

Thank you!! ... for responding to my first post and even following me over to this one - you are so kind! :D

We're in Virginia. I just got off the phone with our local Immuno who said they may need to be repeated. He is going to see what he can find out for me and get back to me.

We saw a Naturopathic Doctor about a week ago, who did muscle testing and stared her on two supplements. Honestly, at this point, I am open to whatever will help my child! Thanks again!

No, I'm just stalking you!! B)

There are others closer to you who can probably give you scoop on LLMDs. I'm in New England. Helpful threads also has suggestions on finding doctors. personally, I wouldn't spend any money on re-running labs until you get in front of the doctor who's going to treat your DD. They may use labs that take insurance and/or feel that different tests or no additional tests are needed. Good luck (logging off now - you are safe :D )

Doc finally called me back today. She's negative for Lyme & Myco; positive for Ehrlichiosis.

She already has a PICC running Rocephin 1 gram daily for 14 days because she hasn't cleared strep for over a year. He added Biaxin 250 mg BID for four weeks. Hopefully, this will clear up her infections and the IVIG for her immune deficiency will help restore her health.

Her labs look really similar to mine. I was IND on few and pos on 41 (if I remember right- pretty sure it was 41 though) and neg on everything else via Igenex. The first LLMD didn't want to treat me for tick-borne at all, and the second thought we should try since my history really points that way. On day #4 of the Doxy, a huge bulls-eye showed up on me. Now, not saying she definitely has Lyme, because I do think that if you have it, it probably hides better and better as time goes on, but keep that in the back of your mind-- you know like I do that "what grows in the petri dish is not always what happens in the body."

Hope, hope, hope that this PICC line works for her!!!!

Similar, eh? Hmm... that concerns me, but I you know appreciate the input... just more evidence I need to pursue this and confirm one way or the other. Frankly, I want to discuss the risks (if any) of treating her even if she does not have LD... seems to me (with what little I know at this point in my exhausted state of shock that she is positive for Ehrlichiosis), that the risk is higher if we do NOT treat.

I hope you're starting to feel better by now! :)

((big sigh)) That is EXACTLY how I feel about the treatment. You know we are in the same boat w/strep- NONE of us in my family have cleared it for 15 months now- all w/normal ASO titers except me, but positive on rapids (even on mega doses of abx!) So something is definitely going on. Maybe it's some mutant strep- who knows? But seeing that rash pop up on me 4 days into Lyme treatment gave me a real wake-up call that this is the right path to pursue for me. I figure we are all going to be on antibiotics ANYWAY for the strep- so who cares what you call it, there is a raging infection/parasites or whatever to kill in there.

I can pull my actual test if you want to compare it (I think I posted it here, but not certain.)
