Labcorp co-infections tests came back tonight.

Pos for Mycoplasma (surprise, surprise, right?) and HHV6

Neg for others including Bartonella, Babesiosa. Emailed dr and asked if he thinks these are false negs that will be provoked into pos by the abx and if we will retest.

Her vit D was low too, so he is putting her on supps for the coinfections and a rx dose of D 50000 IU/wk.

One test you can ask your dr about that might be covered by insurance is an immune complex test. We started tracking my DDs C3d immune complex last spring. It was 25 in March, 47 in August and is 94 now (above 8 is high). It doesn't tell us what is causing her issues, but it does confirm a chronic infection and gives a hint that her negative bartonella test might be a false negative, because symptom wise, she is either bartonella or Pandas (no strep signs tho). You can also test for C3a and C4a complexes which I believe are more commonly elevated with lyme but I don't know if they're exclusive to lyme or not. But in any event, high immune complexes can tell you if false negatives are a possibility. The C3d test was less than $50.

We have two children negative for Bartonella/Babesia and one child positive for both. All children have clinical symptoms inclusive of similar rashes I would not have thought to be Bartonella. We are seeing tremendous treatment response without positive results but we continue to test to see if there is a conversation to positive. I'll be shocked if it happens and will post if/when it does.

I feel like you are in truly good hands now to get DD well. I suspect your Dr. will keep looking for symptoms of co-infections and treat if necessary.
