Glutathione lotion

Recommended Posts

I would like to share this information with you:

My son has been using the Kirkman lab glutathione lotion for about a week. I applied the lotion on his feet once a day at night with one gram (one level scoop using the enclosed measure). After 3 days, he has some reactions to it:

- tic increasing

- stuffing nose: one night he couldn't even breath

- bed wetting: he hasn't had it for a long time

- skin rash: it occurred on the area without using lotion

As of now, we're not sure if they're adverse reactions or allergy reactions. I stopped the lotion couple days ago. The night I stopped it, his nose congestion's better and he didn't wet his bed for 2 nights already. Our DAN doctor also suggested us to stop using it for a week, and reintroduce it back with smaller dosage.

Spring,

Another thing to consider is that all you mentioned can also be detoxification symptoms.

This is where it gets tricky, establishing an allergic reaction vs. actual detoxification side effects. I think the idea of stopping and starting up again with smaller amounts is a good one.

My son got a bad rash from his compounded pharmacy lotion but that ended when we started changing the area of application. I heard someone else state, we share the same doctor, that their child also had a rash issue no matter where the application was made and they switched to the oral form. The latest DAN conference in Boston should be over by now and it would be interesting to see the latest information inregards to the various treatments and sharing of data. My son too is ticing away with gasping for breaths and towards the afternoon and evening the turning of the head. We are hoping that this is detox and not just the usual really noticable dose of tics that come and go and come and stay and then go and etc.... Hang in there and like we say at home observe everything and count out nothing. This is a long haul with no quick solution but the solution is worth the effort and journey.

My son has been using the Kirkman Glutathione lotion for almost two months. We have not had any adverse allergic or detox reactions. I did want to mention that our doctor told us to apply the lotion on a different area each night to avoid causing a rash. I have alternated arms and thighs. I applied it to his back one night and he said it burned, so we didn't make that mistake again .

Thanks for that report Layne. I was planning on buying KIrkman's lotion for it would be one hundred dollars less a month then what I am spending now at the compounding pharmacy.

Hi NewTSMom,

Glutathione is the antioxidant and it’s very important to detoxification. I supplement it because my son has glutathione deficiency based on his lab test. Besides, he has elevated level of heavy metals (i.e., mercury, cadmium). Glutathione can be supplemented by either oral intake or skin (lotion). It appeared that applying through skin is more efficient.

Here is the detail information about the glutathione:

Hi Daniel,

Like your son, my son has allergy to many stuffs. We believe that he has allergy reactions to the lotion (i.e., stuffing nose, rashes, bedwetting, tic increasing). We’ve tried 3 times but stopped 3 times. He’s not on the lotion currently as our DAN doctor asked us to wait after other supplements. However, Andy’s, Claire’s and Jennifier’s (?) sons have been using it. Per Claire, the lotion form helped to raise his son’s glutathione level, but not oral supplement.

Hi Jean, I do not know if this is to dated already but for the past month we have been using lotion from Hopewell pharmacy in New Jersey and we have not seen any skin side affects nor any reason to rotate the lotion application around the body.
