Spring
Hi All, Due to my son's vitamin/nutrition deficiencies, I started to supplement the following a week ago: 1). Vit E, C - he started with these two, and he was fine. After 2 days, I added: 2). Vit B1 - his tic seemed a little increased. The next day, I added: 3). acetyl L-carnitine - his tic has been noticeable increased. After 4 days, I switched to: 4). L-carnitine - today is his 2nd day on L-carnitine. 5). Glutathion lotion - he's been using it for 3 days. Today, his tic is greatly increased. Among 1 -5, which one may be the cause? If it's adversary symptom, how long should I see the decreasing? Any feedback/suggestion is highly appreciated! Jean
Ronnas
It is hard to say which supplement may be causing an increase in tics. I think the best thing to do may be to start over and go slower when adding new things. Each child is very individual and what may have caused an increase in tics for my son (ex. fish oils) may be fine for another.

Andy
As was noted it is very important to have a time difference between any new vitamin, food, etc that is being introduced to our kids and a careful objective observation needs to be made as well after every introduction. With that said I feel I should add that after a year of vitamins, minerals and amino acid supplements we have found that there was little difference with what was lacking. This was disappointing but then it just reinforced why we went to drastic detox measures. There are some researchers who feel that until one gets out the heavy metals, no real gains will be made with the body's chemistry.
