Wilma Jenks Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 first scott smith started the azith. she is pretty mean aggressive and impulsive, but sleep got a teeny bit better. he added nystatin because he said yeast is a problem. she still looks bad. when is she suppose to look like she is getting a bit better? not sure how long to continue???
kimballot Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Nystatin takes a while to work and she may need a stronger antifungal in the end. The book The yeast connection is very good for helping to understand the yeast issues.
Wilma Jenks Posted December 22, 2010 Author Report Posted December 22, 2010 scott said we would see if it helps after 72 hours. is that not the same with most of your children?
peglem Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 scott said we would see if it helps after 72 hours. is that not the same with most of your children? In our case, my daughter has been on nystantin for several years- I think it keeps the intestinal yeast at bay, but its a pretty mild antifungal and we find we need diflucan about once a week. With diflucan, I can usually see a difference w/in 24 hours.
