texascatholic Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Hi There... I was wondering if anyone knows of any LLMD's who will do a phone consult to discuss whether or not we need to travel to see them based on our Igenex results? I don't want to travel if we don't need to.... I posted DD9's results in the PANDAS forum and in the Lymes forum today. I was also curious...is band 41 specific for Lymes? She was positive for this on both the Igg and Igm western blot tests. God bless you all!
Suzan Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Try the Texas Lyme Suport Group, http://www.txlda.org/ They can probably send you a list. I got ours in NC by contacting ilads at http://www.ilads.org/ . Good luck! Susan PS... With your Igenex results, I think you should plan on a trip to the LLMD! Edited December 14, 2010 by Suzan
texascatholic Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Thanks, Suzan.... I looked at the ILADS website. Since DH is a physician, I am going to ask him to join (as a non-voting member). Hopefully this way he can speak to some of the LLMDs and get advice? I really appreciate all that everyone has shared with me today. Never thought we'd be potentially dealing with Lymes. Also, when the Igenex test said "negative", I really thought it was negative until asking all of you. Thanks again...

When I was waiting for my dd9's test results, I became positive that she had lyme. When her test came back saying Negative, I was sick with confusion. It took me a while to feel sure again but with the help of the forums and other mom's who had gone through it, and seeing our LLMD, I did and I feel confident about our plan to treat. I think your plan with DH sounds like a good one. Take care.... Susan
sf_mom Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I also wanted to add our LLMD does do phone consults. Since your husband is a physician he could instruct him very easily with further testing to confirm on way or the other without having to travel. My fear of mentioning this yesterday, is most LLMD will not diagnose on lab results only (need to see the individual) and a Dr. would need to be available to help instruct with further testing and prescribe antibiotics locally to you. I truly encourage you to give him a call as he is one of the more respected LLMDs country and helps the sickest of the sickest. Many from out of state travel to see him. I'll PM you his information... I am sorry but I do not know how long the wait list is for a phone consultation. To see him in person is at least four months.
texascatholic Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Thanks so much! I will give your LLMD a call soon. God bless, Holly
