texascatholic Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Complicating the matter is the fact that there are no LLMD's around here (Texas). Western Blot IgG: 18 - 22 - ** 23-25 - 28 - 30 - ** 31 IND ** 34 - ** 39 IND ** 41 ++ 45 - 58 + 66 - 73 - **83-93 - Lymes Titre - Negative IgM Western Blot All were negative except: ** 39 - IND ** 41 - + B Microti - Negative Babesia - Negative HME Panel - Negative B henselae - Negative Looks like no co-infections. Thanks in advance for the help.
LNN Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 A few friends have sent me these links ...they are somewhat dated, so please realize newer info may be out there. But as a novice, I found this helpful: Explaining Western Blot tests: http://flash.lymenet...TML/022767.html WB for Lyme: http://www.anapsid.org/lyme/wb.html Understanding the WB: http://www.lymenet.d...sts/brenner.htm My DS had results similar to yours and our LLMD considered them significant enough to begin treatment. DS is responding extremely well. I know it may mean travel, but this could be the key. You can contact ilads.org and go to the "contact us" tab to email them a request for a list of doctors that are closest to you. For us, it was literally life changing.
sf_mom Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 For our younger twins, being on the right antibiotic has been life changing as well. Our older son was doing well post PANDAS treatment but continues to improve with Lyme protocol (no OCD/no TICS and almost one year post his last hdIVIG treatment). All three of our children have Congenital Lyme. Again, I encourage you to see an LLMD.
texascatholic Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 Thanks again, SF MOM.... Does anyone know of any good LLMDs close to Texas?
cobbiemommy Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Complicating the matter is the fact that there are no LLMD's around here (Texas). Thanks in advance for the help. As it was explained to me by our DS LLMD, bands 31, 39, and 58 are highly indicative of the presence of Borrellia. Plan to see a LLMD so they can tell you for sure.
Cassi Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Hi Texascatholic, I live in houston and am thinking about getting the IGENEX test done for my dd8 as well. There are no doctors that I know of either in Texas. As it looks like we do have to travel, can anyone recommend a good lyme doctor - even in another state.
texascatholic Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Hi Cassi... I'll keep you posted on what I find out. It's my understanding that the Texas Medical Board doesnt' favor LLMDs.
