Pyrrole Disorder: Characterized by elevated urine kryptopyrrole test

Identified frequently in autism, asperger's syndrome, depression, schizophrenia, adhd and other behavioral, mental & emotional conditions. Resulting in a dramatic deficiency of zinc and vitamin B6.

Comon symptoms include poor stress tolerance and anger control, explosive temper, anxiety, severe mood swings, poor short term memory, depression, light, noise and tactile sensitivities.

Pyroluria is characterized by excess urinary kryptopyrrole. Kryptopyrrole binds irreversibly with B6. The resulting compound combines with any available zinc, and is excreted in the uirne, thus severely depleting the body of both B6 and Zinc. The effected of pyrrole excretion can easily by corrected. A positive response often occurs within the first 7 days of treatment, with 1-2 months usually required for correction of the imbalance.

The decisive laboratory test is analysis for Kryptopyrrole in urine.

Please go to www.pyroluriatesting.com. You can order the laboratory test on line from Direct Healthcare Access. They have a clinical consultant available to consult regarding test results and their interpretation concerning specific patient conditions at no additional charge. They have been performing the kryptopyrrole testing for Pfeiffer Treatment center for over 20 years. They are excellent. The phone number is 847-222-9546

Ellen,

Thanks for the information. I know I read what I was looking for (why identify the this condition if it's treated in the same way-B vits, mag, zinc) last night, but like so many of the new people here have said-I think I have information over load. What a major difference. No info or support for 7 years and now more than I can process.

Thanks again,

Kim

I think I understand your question but I am not sure. Treatment of pyroluria consists of replacement of zinc and b6. Because the treatment is metabolic rather than pharmacologic, it needs to be titrated to individual requirements. A variety of factors are taken into consideration when developing a treatment regimen including, level of urinary kryptopyrrole, body weight, age, severity of symptoms, presence of conditions affective ability to absorb nutrients, and the presence of other metabolic conditions affecting metabolism or utilization of zinc or vit. b6.

The use of the wrong form could be ineffective, too much can be toxic. When you getting your kryptopyrrole testing done at my laboratory Direct Healthcare, www.pyroluriatesting.com, your practitioner will receive a clinical consultatin with a MD regarding the test results, and their interpretation concerning specific patient condiitons at no additional charge. I don't believe any of the other labs offer that service. Any ways, have a great weekend
