Sheila Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 The International OCD Foundation is interested in publishing a few stories about PANDAS in their newsletter and on-line. If you're interested, please submit them to Marissa Keegan at mkeegan@ocfoundation.org. Stories should be limited to 1500 words, and if chosen, Marissa Keegan will be in touch with you about when and where it would be published and whether any editing would be needed. Please alter any names you do not wish to share, before submitting. There is no guarantee that any particular story will be published on-line or in the newsletter. The IOCDF website (www.ocfoundation.org) does a good job of puting a face on OCD and it's encouraging that they are looking to feature PANDAS in a publication. The website often shows real, sometimes well-known and successful people, coping with OCD and winning the daily battle. I've been impressed with IOCDF over the years for being relatively open-minded about complementary treatment options--more so than many similar groups. Sheila
Megs_Mom Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I asked IOCDF about this yesterday & they did get a couple of stories. The deadline for the Feb newsletter is Jan 31st, but they will still look at stories for the website after that. Thanks to those that shared! keep in mind that you don't have to use your child's real name.
