Cassi Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 We live in Houston and my daughter's doc is Dr. T, treated via the phone. He is recommending finding a place in Texas to do the IVIG instead of flying to New York to get it done. Has anyone done this before? I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Any suggestions? Thanks, Cassi
texascatholic Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 We did an IVIG 2 weeks ago in San Antonio with Dr. Infante at the Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital downtown. He's an immunologist. PM me for more info! Blessings to you!

EmersonAilidh Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I haven't been to him but there's Dr. Rao in Plano, too.
DebC Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) I haven't been to him but there's Dr. Rao in Plano, too. Two moms in our Dallas area support group have had their children receive IViG through Dr. Rao in Plano. He follows Dr. K's protocol! Edited December 2, 2010 by DebC
IVIGHOMEINFUSION Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Try Scott and White hospital in Temple, Tx. They have wonderful neurologists there. The hospital itself is huge. They work with patients from all over Texas. Have you tried doing IVIG at home? With a doctors order, you would receive your medications delivered to your door and have a home health nurse administer your medications and stay through the entire infusion to watch for possible side effects. I know several home health agencies who routinely have nurses administer IVIG in a home setting. Amerita is one infusion company that offers IVIG for in home therapy. There are pharmacies all over Texas. Hope this helps! God bless.
