My son had IVIG about 10 days ago. He has also been on 2 different abx daily for 13 months.

 

My concern is the fact that he is worse now than before the IVIG, He is extremely hyper, can't be left alone at all, and is 9 yrs old, worsening of "bad ocd thoughts'tics have even come back full force.

Any advice?

Hi Judy, I know it is really, really hard right now, but I think the majority of parents here have stated symptoms get much worse before getting better--the "turning back the pages or herxing effect." Try not to worry, from what I've read it could be a good sign that IVIG is working or going to work.

You probably are just past the midpoint of the yucky when the momentum will turn to a more positive upward trend. One day/hour at a time.

Judith I have been there. It gets worse before it gets better. For us things calmed down around week 8.
