irreversible?

Well, this site has been great and I read a line from another site that scared me. I may not have read it right but the line states, "Why is the environmental medical history so important?

Unless an environmental exposure history is pursued, the etiology or cause of the diagnosis may be missed, the treatment regimen prescribed may be inappropriate (possibly eliminating or masking the symptoms but not eliminating the cause), the exposure to causative or aggravating agents can continue, and the illness may progress and become irreversible. Also, the opportunity is missed to alert others similarly exposed and at risk.

"

I have been buying supplments and they have been positive. I am going to go to a professional on tourette's soon though but I was wandering if their is anyway I could mess myself up and make my disease "masked" as the site says. The address is http://www.ourlittleplace.com/tourette.html

Please clear this up for me/

Well Spartan, my wife and I are in the boat that you are wondering about. We have our son doing great with supplements and a restrictive diet and then boom, everything falls apart. We have finally both agreed that a more aggressive approach is needed and will be looking for a doctor who will do detoxing. I am going to be making a posting asking if anyone can give any leads if you wish for more details.
