PANDASmcnuggetsw/fry/coke
DD 12 is going for her first and hopefully last IVIG near Chicago this week. Any ideas on one or two fun things for me to take her to? I haven't been to Chicago in a looong time. Thank you, PANDAS McNuggets w/fry/coke

SarahJane
I don't have any ideas for fun, but we'll be up there mid-Nov with ds(6) for what will be hopefully our 1st/last IVIG too. Will be thinking of y'all this week! Wishing your family all the BEST!
sptcmom
wishing you tons of luck. We loved Legoland a short drive from Oakbrook.
MomWithOCDSon
The Museum of Science and Industry is a great time; providing the weather's good, your DD may also like Navy Pier (IMax theatre, Children's Museum, shopping, food, boat rides/cruises, bike rentals, etc.) or the Lincoln Park Zoo (free admission and beautifully laid out). All of these venues are in Chicago proper, though, as opposed to being out in the suburbs where Dr. K. is. I know someone else mentioned LegoLand, but I'm not familiar with that. There is also a DuPage County Children's Museum that is excellent and will be closer to where you'll be located, and the Morton Arboretum is nearby, as well, if you enjoy plant life and long walks. I don't know if you'll at all be in the mood for shopping, but the Oak Brook Mall is a massive regional mall with just about any shop anyone could ever think of! PANDASmcnuggetsw/fry/coke
Thanks so much everybody! We also have heard there is a large aquarium, which might be a soothing experience. I forgot to mention, that the night before last when we were coming home from a trip and getting out of the car, her 7 year old brother accidentally bonked her in the nose HARD with his noggin' and yes.....her nose is BROKEN!!! As if she has not been through enough....:-( PANDAS McNuggets w/fry/coke
