trademein Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Ok so my daughter is most of the time in a bad mood. Everything hurts nothing is right. She is just unhappy. Tics are every other second. So today she went to school in her bad mood. Went to the sitter after had her "normal" day. Came home and seems to be on cloud 9! She took her shower by herself and washed her hair! Then went on to study. She has been in a VERY talkitive mood and is happy. Since this started in April 2010 I have not sen her like this. What could this mean? Has anyone else had this?
peglem Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 First of all...WOOOOHOOOOO! Enjoy it when you got it! Can you attribute the change to anything new you are doing treatment-wise? This does happen for us sometimes- and I always try to figure out why so we can perpetuate it. In our case, it has never been permanent. Hope the good times last for you!
dut Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Hi - she may be healing from this episode. My dd7 has had 2 major all **** breaking loose episodes and 5 more minor ones. With the exception of the last episode from which we are still seeing some end of day/nighttime separation anxiety and fears, she has always gotten better eventually. Sometimes aided by abx or steroids but even when neither of these have worked, she has fully remitted with time and only gotten worse with a new infection. Forgive my memory but is strep or another bacterial infection her trigger? Are you using treatment dose or prophylactic abx? I hope she keeps it up....:-)

I am not sure what triggers it. I think its any infection that she is exposed to. At school and at the babysitter someone is always sick. I haven't seen her like this since March 2010. Her tic is still there today but she got dressed by herself for school ate breakfast. She fractured her distal fubular 4 weeks ago and is in a wakling boot. She has been obsessed with using her crutches. Last night she says Mom I dont't need them anymore! I hope this will last at least a few weeks. She has her glow back about her

trademein Posted October 27, 2010 Author Report Posted October 27, 2010 ok day 2 of happiness!!! could this last awhile? This is the first break for us. Will her symptoms come back? Her tic is still present but the mood change is wonderful.
thereishope Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) My son used to be horrible in the mornings. Can't even begin to explain what it was like to get him out of bed. He would be awful and in full blown PANDAS mode when we'd finally get him in the bathrroom to pee in the morning. There were days he'd go in that bathroom one child and walk out another. He'd suddenly be happy , no rages, and seem okay. We'd say he peed it out of him:) It wouldn' t last all day or anything but I took it when I could! This happened on more than one occassion, but not every time. Or maybe you haven't given the ibuprofen because she hasn't needed it?
