  1. Try Scott and White hospital in Temple, Tx. They have wonderful neurologists there. The hospital itself is huge. They work with patients from all over Texas. Have you tried doing IVIG at home? With a doctors order, you would receive your medications delivered to your door and have a home health nurse administer your medications and stay through the entire infusion to watch for possible side effects. I know several home health agencies who routinely have nurses administer IVIG in a home setting. Amerita is one infusion company that offers IVIG for in home therapy. There are pharmacies all over Texas. Hope this helps! God bless.
  2. I know that IVIG home infusion seems to be more of a convenience for the patient. Travel time plus wait time and not getting to be in the comfort of your own home is enough reason to want to do home infusion. Yes, having an experienced RN makes things so much more comforting as well. Some insurance companies are paying less to perform in office infusions due to overhead cost. It's becoming cheaper to do this at home so check with your insurance company for this option. Most people have to ask their physician to get this started. Best of luck! :-)
