  1. If you are seeing a doctor in/from London, would you plz inbox me?
  2. But If I was reading this right, if the RT3 is elevated that in itself could cause the high anxiety & other psychological problems. Would'nt meds change that? Or does your daughter have low RT3? Sorry, just confused at the moment...
  3. So, my LLMD called a couple weeks ago to inform me that my childs reverse T3 were elevated and he ordered Selenium. I looked it up and did not really find muchh that popped out at me. But then today, I started researching all kinds of things ~ anything tht might possibly connect to my daughter. Then I come upon this page and now I'm wondering if most all her symptoms are simply comming from this and if I should be looking for a thyroid doctor instead?! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/reverse-t3/ this is the paragraph that stopped me in my tracks: When biological stress is ongoing, your adrenals will eventually become fatigued, dropping from high cortisol to a mix of high and low, or all low, and those low levels put you into the problematic state of adrenal fatigue, which causes chronic anxiety poor coping skills, paranoia, easy nausea, sensitivity to light or sounds, psychological issues, etc. When you don’t make enough cortisol, thyroid hormones can pool high in your blood. So your body responds by converting the T4 to excess RT3. Anyone elses kid dealing with this?
  4. Yes, you can definately be a voice of HOPE! I'm sure you have learned so much in the years that you could help ppl by telling them your experiences, share what you know. That is epic in itself!
  5. Don't laugh, (go ahead I did at first have you ever heard of a sniffing tic? I thought I noticed her sniffing me once last week, and right after I thought I saw her hiding the fact that she was sniffing my shoulder... Well tonight sitting there watching tv with her, I was positive that she was doing it again twice to me. Then she came in the kitchen laughing and I realized she was sniffing inbetween her laughs. Now I'm not sure if this is actually a tic or OCD. The only other tic I have ever seen her do was with the sudden onset she had a grimancing neck twisting but that went away after the first antibiotic we tried in November... Maybe this is a herx?
  6. he does have pictures of many of the kids that he has helped and lots of info out but it is all about him helping the kids and them saying thank you, from what I remember. I agree, I think you should talk to the girls at the office and explain your concerns.
  7. LOL with LLMs' DH! I also nominate SF Mom as the Poop Professional * I honestly learned more about poop from her post than I ever thought I would* So now I have to ask, What could cause bleeding in the lower intestines?
  8. My daughter weighs much more but she does not swollow pills, and can really put up a fight about meds so I've been trying to make it as easy as possible. We try to do daily Epson salt baths, give her extra fiber gummys and I just started giving her a new product that I found. (don't know if it will help yet) but it is called Yummy Greens for kids and has Chlorella Algae in it. It is kind of like a chewable vitamin. She is also on Selenium and high doses of vitamin D because her levels were extreemly low. I did buy the bentonite clay yesterday at the same time, but I'm pretty sure that is not going to go over well and may return it... (or maybe give it a try myself) Can someone tell me exactly what the charcoal is for? I've just been winging it and doing ok here so far, but incase things get bad again, I like to know other options. I see Dr.J also, all he said was to make sure we do the probiotics and try to add more fiber.
  9. Here was thier response: HI Jodi, Thanks for getting in touch. I am actually casting a show about people who want to get a Psychiatric Service Animal so I know a little but am definitely not an expert on the topic. I can direct you to a few sites that can probably answer your questions better. http://www.psychdog.org/faq.html http://www.deltasociety.org/Page.aspx?pid=304 If you are interested in participating in the show, please let me know. The series is for Animal Planet and we are still looking to cast some episodes later down the line. Thank you! 11. Email sent with specific questions about contamination. I will share when I get a response.
  12. No, only this email that was sent to the lady that is the head of my Pandas group. Which is Julie. I have no clue how an animal would help with contamination, but I am excited to learn more about it. I can't wait for the show to air. I'm tempted to email and ask how much a service animal would cost...
  13. Dear Julie, I'm writing to you because I'm working on a new television series about psychiatric service animals. Service dogs are now being used as a successful strategy to help curb OCD behaviors. I wanted to reach out to you to see if anyone in your organization or support group might be interested in the project. We are in the process of casting for people that either already have a service animal or are interested in getting one to help with a mental health issue. If anyone is interested in learning more, please have them contact me at jmolli@redmarblemedia.net or 646-536-2572.
