  1. I can see cutting out certain things like sugar. I try to cut down on sugar..Not cut out but is it really possible in this day and age to cut out all artificial foods? Seems like it would be more of a hassle trying to do that. Personally I would rather cut down on the sugar and take supplements or try some relaxation methods(listening to soft music) and such to help me relax and cut down on my tics. I dont mind working a little bit but removing artificial foods sounds like way too much work to do and to keep up with. Scott
  2. Nancy..you know what is funny? well not funny like "ha ha " but funny in the other sense. I have always been a perfectionist when it came to sports. Everything had to be perfect and that is how I succeded at racquetball until I had to stop a few yrs ago because of injuries.. I used to get mad at myself at every little mistake. I would do drills that I had to hit the same shot perfectly 10 times in a row and I would be there for hours trying to do it. I would get to 8 or 9 and make a mistake and I would start over. Now the funny not "ha ha" funny part. I am still like that now. I set goals for myself for working out. I work out every night and I HAVE to do what my goal is...I get upset if I dont do it. I set goals that are near impossible to achieve and I am very hard on myself. I still have to be perfect with everything I do. Maybe he will grow out of it but its not a big deal if he does not. I think it will make him a better person in the long run. It is just hard to see that now. I know my parents must have thought the same thing with me when I was like that. Scott
  3. Thank you very much :-) I think I have read ever post here a few times already! I think I would pass out with needles in me..Even if they didnt hurt..I would be thinking about it and get myself all worked up! Scott
  4. How far do they put the pins in? The only time I have ever seen it done is in the movies and I know they exaggerate it....just like they exaggerage tourettes(always in a funny way though) Every time I think of accupuncture I think of getting a tattoo....needles dont sit well with me. Scott
  5. Stress is definitely something that brings on tics...at least in my case... This is a great forum..I read the posts here every day Scott
  6. ouch I have heard that accupuncture hurts or can hurt depending on how well you can take it. I cant imagine a child sitting there while its done! Oh yeah...definitely keep track of foods, its allergy season now...pollen, mold, dust etc... I know that a lot of sugar bothers me so I have to try and not drink soda and candy all day.... Scott
