Patty when I found your posts i was shocked at how our sons are identical.. on june 10 a week after the pediatric allergy specialist gave us flovent and nasonex (like flonase) my son developed tics, i was terrified, i like you stopped the medication immediately, he had taken flovent before, he was a preemie and has environmental allergies which we feels brings on the asthma, it is now aug 5th and after a new vitamin regiment from the naturopath, magnesium , stuff for his allergies, and a homeopathic nasal spray hunter is basically tic free, we also do fish oil twice a day, to help him as he did have a stroke at birth, but we feel this has helped immensely, i do believe these steroids espicailly the nasonex brought the tics on, the doctors of course deny that this could have brought this on, but like you I am a firm believer in naturopathic remedies, we also see a homeopathic doctor also, he still throat clears a little but only after we give him the flovent, like tonight he was rolling in the grass and whammo aslthma attach, can you tell me more about these tests for outdoor allergies, we had a scratch test and birch and cats are huge, we had a blood allergy test doen to test foods, and they were all very minor, none in the significant, because we thought dairy and wheat etc,, we bought a book on line called how to stop tics naturally sounds like you bought that one too. lol..i have a magnesium powder in a capsule that i open, and mix with warm water than use juice.. i will check back, i would like to chat, my son is 7 how old is yours.. it is nice to meet someone that is like me, i know i was not crazy to think the nasonex was the culprit,, my husbands friend has severe allergies and he says he only uses nasonex if he absolutely has too as it makes his skin crawl.. take care ..
