New to PANDAS but beginning to think my son is suffering. His neurologist was uncertain and admitted she had little knowledge of the "controversial" diagnosis. Agreed to do her homework and get back to us. Our ND listened and agreed he should have a Strep titre done but sent us back to the GP for the blood requisition. I'm not holding my breath that the GP or the regular pediatrician will take us seriously and I'd rather not up sent myself and my child for frustration and waste precious time seeing doctors who dismiss this only because they don't know about it! I saw some very old threads on Ontario doctors but nothing more recent.
Ontario parents, other than Dr. Wendy Edwards had anyone seen an MD who is knowledgable and supportive? I do plan to beg the GP for a referral to Dr. Edwards but wondering about anyone else, preferably more local to Toronto?
