Ran ASO on my 6 yr old. It came back wnl but he had pos strep July 1. Also his blood work showed he did have milk and wheat allergy as well as grass and ragweed. So I'm looking into the GFCF diet. I'm sure a lot of u are doing this. Can I get your responses on how well this worked for you or yr child and how long before you seen improvement? Thanks to all!

Lactobacillus. One other thing I forgot to mention is the fact that he's always picking at his rear end. I never thought much about that other than maybe he wasn't getting himself clean enough. Then I read on here that sometimes that can mean you are dealing with parasitic infection?

I gave him a fish oil supplement, penicillin , and a third of an adult dose of probiotic( which he's never had before) within 30 min to a hour he became hyper, silly and defiant. I spoke with DR Grant who is helping Svedo with the upcoming trials. He said when all of these studies were complete there wouldn't be anymore " I don't believe it's real" stuff. Keeping my fingers crossed😁

Rowing mom. I'm not sure if he told you but you can use an anti dandruff shampoo as a body wash also, usually a couple times a week. If it comes back. Lather and leave on for about 5 min then rinse off. It helps to prevent yeast also. We always recommended seldom blue.

I'm kinda confused about herxing. Headache, diarrhea and nausea are all common side effects from septra. Fever can also happen as well. Why would this be considered herxing? My dd18 took it for a unrelenting questionable bacterial throat infection and had all of these sxs, would that mean that she possibly has Lyme and was actually herxing?

Yes he plays football and baseball year round. He has never c/o breathing issues before. My daughter has on several occasions, especially when running long distance. We have an appointment with a ped infectious dz MD in Charlotte NC tomorrow and I will address this symptom with him.

Hi my ds 14 plays football. He came home from practice today complaining of breathlessness. He felt like maybe he had asthma because he said it felt hard to breath. There has never been complaints like this before. Could this be a symptom of pandas or lyme? My daughter who is 18 and suffers also from GABS used to complain of this while running track. Any one have these complaints also?

It is possible it could be a wart. Warts are contagious and kids can move them to places like the lip, nostrils and around the eyes. You could visit a dermatologist and he or she could remove it with a local anesthesia and a razor. It is considered a "shave biopsy". They then would send the papule in to pathology for confirmation of the diagnosis.

I have read on this forum that a lot of parents see much improvement after T&A. It reduces a huge microbial load. It seems that, according to my reading that one could get a flare in sxs after surgery and alot of times it's due to underlying Lyme or other chronic infections, anesthesia etc. Most parents say to continue prophylactic antibiotics some time after the removal. We too have our T&A scheduled August 27. I hope it makes a difference for your child.

Yes I couldn't find a lot of info for children usage either. There doesn't seem to be many side effects at all. Charlotte gerson does it at their treatment facility on children. They train them how to use the therapy the correct way. They then return home to do the therapy for years afterwards. So it seems like it would be advantageous to recovery.
