  1. HI Has anyone here tried NeuroModulation Technique? It is simular to NAET treatments. Thanks PetB
  2. hi I have read many posts but I am still confussed with Fish Oils. What is the difference with DHA, Flax seed oil and evening primrose? I have been giving my son DHA and I'm not sure if it the right thing to do. His school work is doing so much better I can't belive it, but I am always posting about his bitting lips. I think the DHA might be to much Vit. A. Then I look at Flax oil and that is Vit. B. My son is also taking a Vit. B complex. Would this be to much? Do you also use a multi-vitamin? Thanks PetB
  3. Hi Kim crazy weekend for us too. hope your son is doing better. that sounds so scary. i think about what if....my son needs something like that and i wouldn't know what to do. i did meet with a nurtricianist...she was good. switched around a few things and i tried it and now i am just back to basic. staying with what seemed to be working. i think these people i meet want to be the one that saves me and switches things around and it just doesn't work, my son is back to licking his lips alot and now it is red around his mouth again. that is my problem....always something with his mouth. i can't figure it out yet. thanks for responding....sometimes i just need to vent and read read read and find some supportive posts. petb
  4. Kim, You have responded to before and I am thinking of some of your questions to me. My son stopped craving protein. In the past craved milk and carbs. We are on a strick diet still (waiting for our app. on his IgG test report info which is next week) mostly keeping him off trigger foods. You asked me to look at other problems not just TS. He does seem to have OCD. and you asked about to much Vit A. I think he may be getting to much. His multi has vit a (as beta carotene) 5000 iu and his is taking DHA too. a doctor I met with wanted me to get Super Nu-Thera. reading that the vit A (acetate) is 2500 iu. not sure if I should just switch to that. Its hard bc he is so young, 6 and he doesnt know how to explain how he feels. and I dont want to keep asking him, how he feels. I want him to try to feel "normal" again. I have an appointment with a nutricinest tomorroe (thurs,) but I not sure if she is the right answer either. It's so hard to figure this out. I know I am so new to it, but is so fustrating for me I just want to help my son as all of us here want to do. He was bitting his bottom lip, then went to pressing on his finger till the nail started lifting of, now he is doing a droll thing that I have posted about. he isnt getting any inositol yet. I have him just on multi vit. buried treasure vit Bcomplex nordic naturals childrens DHA cal/mag supplement liquid citrate sorry so lengthy....any advise is helpful. i feel this is the only place i can turn to right now. thanks petb
  5. Carolyn, that is interesting you say that. someone did tell me that he had high mercury in him. we do epson salt baths and he does take a magnesium supplement. do you know of any other things i can do. i have read cilantro is a good detox of metals. thanks petb
  6. hi i have posted before about my son that he was bitting under the bottom of his lip. that stopped then he was pushing on his finger till the nail lifted off. now he does this drolling thing with his mouth. like he is going to spit then doesn't. sorry if that sounded gross. i know he is going to do some kind of tic, but when it is so noticable like this, it hurts me to watch it. i dont want the kids in school to make fun of him. so is this normal? and i hope this too will pass....any advice would be great. thanks, petb
  7. Thank You...that helped. petb
  8. hi my son has been pressing on his thumb nail. it has seemed to start lifting up. he was bitting under his bottle lip a couple of weeks ago. that has seemed to stopped and now he seems to be doing this. has anyone else have any experience with self inflicting pain? i think that is what he is doing. we do epson salt baths. thanks petb
  9. have you ever added supplements to baking? my concern is the tyrosine & taurine I added. he can't swallow them. so i opened them and added it to a protein shake and it was awful. so i thought if i bake muffins and add it to them the he wouldn't taste it. but i'm not sure if i can do that. also i added evening primrose and that was horrible too, i was so excited it found help on what my son needs and he can't swallow them. i found yogurt he could eat and he didn't like it. it's hard for him. he is doing so much to help himself i hate to torture him with this. tomorrow morning i will try to add it to his oatmeal. thanks feeling desperate...
  10. Hi I just got supplements for my son. He is 6. Some of them he doen't like the taste of. I see some of you make a shake. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can add the supplements to becides juice. There are 2 pills that he can't swallow so i have to open them up and add them to something. Thanks, Brenda
  11. Hi, My 6 year old has been bitting his lower lip. It's really red. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to put on it. Not sure what to look for in a product. Thanks, PetB
  12. thanks so much Carolyn, i never heard of these foods but i printed them and will try to find them. I haven't been to Whole Foods yet. Plan to go this week. I dont have any healthy stores around me. They are all about 40 min away.
  13. HI All... My son was just diagnosed with tourettes. The Neurologist wanted to put him on Meds right away. I want to try this naturally. And so much help here, thanks to all of you. This is all very new to me. He is 6 years old and I trying to keep him on organic foods. Staying away from the trigger food: dairy, wheat, he tested positive on being allergic to eggs and peanuts. So there isn't really much left for us to eat. Does anyone have any ideas on what to feed a 6 year old. thanks
  14. You may want to make sure his clothes are 100% cotton, they have the tags removed, are light colored, and have been washed with clear detergent rinsed twice and no frabric softener. We have to be sure all of the cothing that touches my son are like this.
