peglem Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I was trying to look up something to answer a question today and ran across a couple of my old posts. I was intrigued, so decided to go way back and reminisce over those old days. I am a true inspiration to myself! Its easy to forget how far we've come when we're still dealing with the day to day, but wow! We've come a long way!
thereishope Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 In a sense, it is....oh, I don't know the word, interesting and neat to witness how everything is evolving. My first post on here was asking if anyone knew if allergies can worsen PANDAS symptoms. No one knew and had never heard of it. Now, it's talked about almost daily. In a sense, it makes me feel old, but it is also so nice to know that each of us in some way has helped the cause.
mom md Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Yes. It is very hard to do. We have come so far. Today I saw my son's neurologist (Dr. Corbier) who said he would write the letter tonight to help us get IVIG. He also said he was opening a "neurology wellness" center for kids with autism and PANDAS. He also said he was froming a PANDAS support group here. Wow...he beat me to it!
EmersonAilidh Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 My first post was asking what IVIG was only three months ago. Now THAT feels crazy.. I'm so glad I found this forum!!

And yes, I do sometimes read my old posts. Since I haven't been good at journaling symptoms, at least the forum is a way to back track and see where we've been, when we've had strep, etc, etc. It's my online journal
