A program requiring manditory mental health screening and medication without parental consent is underway. The program has allready received 20 million and next week congress wil vote on additional funding.

This is horrifying, a crime against children based on ignorance and special interest groups.

 

I would feel completely remiss in not signing something.

Sorry, but I am still confused. I read the article, and it looked like some measure was passed, which had mixed results.

 

I am not sure what I am to say in my letter?

 

Is there a specific item I am asking them to vote against? Sorry, normally these petitions give you a draft letter that you can modify for your beliefs.

 

Am I saying that please vote that any mental health screening and prescriptions need to require parental consent?

In the link I posted in the second post, toward the end of the article we are urged to continue to support Sen. Paul's attempts to make all of this subject to parental permission. It sounds as though he is working on a Let Parents Raise their Kids Act. I did read in one of the links that when congress returns after the first they will be voting on additional funding. So I guess a letter addressing our concern for maintaing our fundamental right to choose and exercise our parental authority would be good.

 

I did try calling the Liberty Committee a couple of times to get some specific information, but I haven't had any luck.

 

Bottom line parental consent is still an issue. The amendment including parental consent verbage was voted down.
