pamsboy Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Anyone have a child who has a specific antibody deficiency and cant mount titers to infection who has Pandas but negative titers (aso and anti-dnase)? Are there any other tests we could get that would help identify Pandas? I have the kit from Dr Cunningham but in it it says it is just for research and we wont know the results of the test. We had heard of the old Immunosciences Pandas testing but know they dont do it anymore - is any other lab doing it? thanks Pam Edited August 13, 2010 by pamsboy

There is no lab test that conclusively proves PANDAS. Dr. Cunningham DOES send you test results and will answer questions about what they mean. But, since her test is still in the study stage, it can not be considered definitive proof. My daughter has immune deficiencies and has never tested with positive ASO or antiDnase, but has had positive strep tests (rapid) with behavioral exacerbations. I am not familiar with the Immunosciences testing. What how did they test for PANDAS?
