Air purify filter

I'm thinking to buy a new air filter as our old one is broken. I was going to buy the one from SharpImage, but I'm confused after I read the consumer report. Here are the links:

We use this brand, model varies with room size. Better to oversize a little, then you can turn it low while sleeping.

I purchased 3 Lumipure's from Sams Club for $149.00 each. I did not like the one at Sharper Image because it has not motor to move the air and the Luimipure also has a light that kills bacteria as well as capture and you don't have to buy filters, you can clean. www.lumipure.com

I wish they have an official measure for noise level. Once they hit a certain purity level for a certain room size, noise is important to be able to keep it on at night or all the time without being noisy.
