Debbie1 Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) My son, age 8, is 2 weeks post IVIG # 2 and doing very well. He shares a room with his older brother, and ds8's side of the room is always MUCH NEATER than his bother's side, which I always attributed to his OCD. Well, the other day I walked into the room and both sides were a mess! I immediately turned to my husband and said, "This room is a mess!!....Maybe I should be proud of him?!" mkur Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Love it. When my son first got sick it would take him all day to put his clothes away. He would pull everything out and refold everything. I know when he is feeling better because the drawers are open and clothes are hanging out.
tapiash Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Love it!! I have a similar story to share. Typically when my son would spill on his shirt he would throw a fit, change his shirt and throw away whatever he was eating or drinking. A few weeks, after a steroid burst he was enjoying a snow cone and he spilled the juice on his "new" yellow shirt. He did not react and it did not seem to phase him one bit. Needless to say, I was so excited to go into town with my son who had a very obvious red snow cone stain on his shirt. My daughter asked "are going to let him go like that, and I said I sure am".
Debbie1 Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 Thanks for the replies. Wishing everyone their own "mess" to enjoy!

Isn't it great to see "age-appropriate" behavior?
