MarkH Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 I have an Immunologist visit for my two boys next week as I continue to strive to determine the source(s) of their symptoms. Does anyone have test recommendations an Immunologist performs above what would be considered routine? IOW, anything specific to PANDAS/PITAND, etc…? Any other words of advice? Thanks! Mark
dut Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Hi- do you mind me asking if you have gotten to see someone in the seattle area.. we got knocked back form seattle children's immunology when they saw the pandas dx.. they said "you're in the wrong place".... I was wondering if the climate there is changing... thanks...

Hi, We did the whole UW Neuro thing awhile back resulting in complex motor tic diagnosis for both boys - motor issues were the primary symptom. The psych issues presented later (or at least that's when we noticed - the motor issues were very severe!) We have a new Ped Dr here in Silverdale who is willing to work with us and start antibiotics - in parallel going to Immunology Dr to cover the total autoimmune issue. Essentially I'm the lead Dr for our boys and working with Doctors willing to work in parallel. Edited June 24, 2010 by MarkH
