matis_mom Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Hi all, My m-i-l went to get her bloodwork done, but they said they couldn't run it because she did not have a diagnosis (she did have a dr's order her husband wrote for her). I run into the same when I took my other children in, but the tech just put the same dx as my PANDAS ds. What have you all been using as dx code when you go in to check other family members? (She was going to do strep titers and Mycoplasma IgG and IgM) Thanks! Isabel

Isabel When we got tested my dr just wrote down cough as the diagnosis- basically she fudged the reasons for the tests for my daughter. Pretty sure my internist did the same thing for mine and my parents. It does not have to be pandas- sore throat or cough should do it. Good luck! Brandy
MomWithOCDSon Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Dr. K. wrote "strep." Told us to ignore it, but it was to get it all through the lab with no bumps.
AmySLP Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Dr Bouboulis wrote the orders with Upper Respiratory Infection as the Dx. for my husband and I to have strep titers.
