Does anyone have a little girl who is around the age of 10 and has lyme and/or pandas? My daughter would like to get to know some of the kids who have these things......

It looks like my 10-yo daughter might be joining the club soon We are doing some bloodwork tomorrow.

If she does have it, she would love to have a pen-pal. She loves to write, and I found with my 12-yo PANDAS son, who does NOT like to write, when he is going through and exacerbation and can't talk about the bad thoughts, he finds it a lot easier to express himself in writing, and it helps bring down the anxiety beautifully.

She would be happy to have friends with this illness....We dont have a pandas diagnosis yet, but we are pretty much sure she has it. And, she has lyme disease, so both of them together is crazyyyy.....So, has both of your children tested in the range for the pandas?

My son's CamKinase was 168, definitely PANDAS. We have not done this for my daughter yet. They just drew blood today to test Strep titers and Lyme (we do have a lot of deer around here!). They also suspect PANDAS ds might have Lyme as well, we'll see. I guess it's not uncommon for kids to have BOTH Lyme and PANDAS, I wonder which came first, but I guess it doesn't matter in the end!
