Guest Mandy
We have six children & you just know when something is not right with your child!! Our oldest was bitten by a mosquito at age 8 and contracted La Crosse Encephalitis, and was left brain damaged, so the last three years has been spent trying to get him to a point of wellness & have not succeeded in getting him seizure free! We have a younger son though that brings me here~ He is four years old & I have always suspected something was just not right. He has signs of Autism, but does not have them to an extreme. He is very obssesive about one thing and cannot get his mind off it for a long time. He has to have the same plate, glass & chair at meal time & throws fits alot about various things. Over reacts to many things, he does speak.. but not as well as he should. He is very destructive at times with his toys. He embarasses easily, and hides his face alot when others are around he is unsure of . At home he socializes well for the most part. Has many unexplained fears. Especially of mommy leaving. He talks baby talk sometimes when he is nervous. Are these signs enough to be worried.. or could this be something else. I have an appt. on Nov 1st to get him tested for developmental delays , as his ped is worried too. but has never mentioned Autism. I am not sure if he has the signs or not. Could someone please help me with this! I appreciate it soo much~ mandy
Madpoet82
Mandy - there is another site for Aspergers that gives a lot more information and such. Not too many people reply on this board. The site (listed below) also has a ton of parents who have children with Aspergers, or some form of Autism. That link is: http://www.xmission.com/~winter/ubb/ultima...p?/forum/7.html Have a good day, Serenity
