bgbarnes Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Well- got the Gluten /Casein Peptide test back in the mail today- follow up with the Dr is on the 12th. I think it is pretty obvious that he is reactive to milk.... Caseomorphin ( Milk) Peptides 380.6 Creatine 70 Relative Ratio 5.45 Relative Ratio normal <.56 we are at more tahn 10 times normal. The Gluten was in normal range realtive ratio of .24 and the normal range is <.58 Does anyone have experience wit this? Is that as high as I think it is? I realize I will now need to be dairy free- do I need to be gluten free too- even though his numbers are not out of bounds for gluten? Yet another thing to manage.... Brandy
Johnsmom Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Brandy I feel your pain but it does help. Our son has been GF/CF/SF for three years. We never did a peptide test but when he gets an infraction, mostly dairy, look out. I swear that stuff is poison. We used to have night waking issues too. He would go through stages where he would sleep through the night and then for a month he would wake up every night. We gradually removed each food and when we removed dairy he slept through the night. That was when he was 5. He is now 8. and we havent had a problem since. Have you read the Karen Seroussi book. "Unraveling the mystery of pervasive developmental disorder." She talks a lot about dairy and how much improved her son became after she removed it. There are a lot of new dairy free options out there.. Look up DAIYA cheese online. It is an awesome substitute that is new to the market. Good Luck Ann Well- got the Gluten /Casein Peptide test back in the mail today- follow up with the Dr is on the 12th.I think it is pretty obvious that he is reactive to milk....
