We went to our pediatrician today for a follow up phone conference with our Dr. and Dr. Nicoliades. We will continue another month or two with Augmentin XR. Our ds10 is doing well (as of now). The icing on the cake is...since our Dr. has been researching this along with us, he has been sharing the information with his other 2 Dr. partners. Now, today he shared with us that because of our story, one of his partners believes that she has a patient with PANDAS. And...our son has been seeing a psycologist for CBT who had never heard of this and is now researching all of the links that I have shared...he believes that this could be the answer to one of his other patients that he has just begun to see. So there you have it...possibly 2 children that may be saved from the road of psychotropic meds. and hospitals for who knows how many years!!! Prayer for all!!!

Amazing! I am always blown away by how many people we are able to reach and educate. Our ENT is now seeing 8 to 9 PANDAS patients after the information I have shared with him. The other week our daughter had an ear infection and we went in to our general pediatrician. While we were there, he had a med student trailing him. I went out to my car and brought a PANDAS Foundation card in for her. There was definitely a reason for that ear infection and it was so that I could get that card to a med student who can share it with her peers.

 

Keep up the hard work and educating! This movement is steadily increasing!

Whoo-hoo!!! Go girl! Spread the word! I sure am! I am also in the Spring/Woodlands area, and I let our old pediatrician in IL know, and emailed the school faculty (lots of principal office visits this past year). I am hoping that another child, if not several, will be spared the misdiagnosis and strictly medication route that we would have been on had I not persevered that something biological happened to my child, that there was a definite turning point. Next stop, our regular pediatrician who nay-says supplements and thinks the ultimate solution was gonna be for me to move back to IL to be by my family. We have a lot of work to educate those around us, but if they spent just one full cycle day in our shoes on our rough days, I think they'd show more interest!
