melanie Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Danny started Biaxin yesterday 1000 mg 1x per day.Dr T thinks it may help.He is a mycroplasm (sp)kid also a sore throat kid(not always strep).I called the immunologist (IVIG)md and she was out until Thursday so I couldnt speak with her about the Increase of the IV. Do you have to do 1.5g over 2 days? He does 1.0g in 4 hours now and has 2x.He does get headaches(steroids for 2 days after seems to help) The minocycline wasnt a good choice I dont think I think it triggered something not so good.I hope it was that and not behavioral issues comming back Ill try the Biaxin and pray it helps.. Thanks again Dr T you are so helpful when we need it and I am so glad we have you in our lives. Melanie and danny
thereishope Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Hopefully changing the meds will help. Wasn't Danny on Biaxin before or was it clindamycin? I remember a bit ago blood tests showed that he had/has Mycroplasma. Did everyone assume it was past tense and it didn't need treatment or did they think the meds he was on cleared it and now they are thinking it didn't?
