nomoz
We are on day 3 of Biaxin and we'll keep you updated at time goes by. Dd had a recentl steroid burst so I can't say for sure whether the benefits we are seeing right now are from the prednisone or from the Biaxin or both, but yesterday was better than normal and today she ate her whole breakfast without ever asking me to watch her eat and she ate more than normal. She finds eating difficult because she thinks she chews weird and so I have to watch her chew every bite. It is so stressful that she doesn't often eat much. Today she had two granola bars and a slice of pizza and she ate it without me. MIght be the prednisone but during the last burst chewing was still somewhat of an issue. Please keep me updated as well. Angela I certainly will keep you posted on our progress. My daughter just had a few courses of Zithromax, and Augmentin, so, honestly, I'd love to give her body break for a few days before starting this new antbc. Good luck to you and your family! airial95
I can't comment on the Biaxin, my son is on Zith which is working for now. But as for telling the school, we did, immediately and I think it was the right call in our situation. Most of his aggression/rages happen at school and it helped them understand what was happening. Our director is also familiar with PANDAS has gone over the symptoms etc with his teahcers and is being extra vigilent on notifying us immediately if a case of strep presents in our PANDAS son's class and even in our non-PANDAS daughter's class. Now that the teachers are more aware of what to look for relating to the OCD, they've been able to give us more detailed feedback on compulsions that seem to occur only at school. The extra info they've provided us has been invaluable.
