Nuerfoeedback and CranioSacral Therapy

My daughter is seven-years-old and although she has never been formerly diaganosed with tourettes, I know she has it. We saw a nuerologist a little over a year ago when an eye tic started. At that time I had realized from reading about what could have brought on the eye tic, that the echoing she had been doing was not just a childhood idiosyncracy. I also realized that the unexplained cough that she had for years (that the doctor had said was a drip), was probably actually a tic as well.

The nuerologist didn't formerly diagnose her becase he said he needed to see symptoms for a year. I went home uncertain of what to do since doing nothing was not an option for me. Shortly after the visit to the doctor she started with a neck tic and some squeezing and finger stretching, as well as toe crunching and occassionally hitting herself. I noticed that she also did things that could have been considered OCD related like smelling her fingers a lot and running her nails repeatedly over things.

At this time her anxiety also increased. She was crying for what appeared to be no reason, all day; withdrawn at school . . . . lots of research and visits to an allergist and a nutritionist got me to removing dairy, limiting food dyes and additives and giving her magnesium and daily supplements.

Within three days of no dairy, she had lost the echo tic, the eye twitch and the neck thing. Over the next few months she started to do a tongue thrusting that is not that noticeable and she still coughs a lot. However, no one has noticed her tics (my friends say I have munchausen by proxy), the anxiety disappeared and things have improved a lot.

However, the teachers have been bringing up her focus a lot. Not to the point that they are demanding she be tested, but it is clearly an issue, and it has always been an issue at home. She is not hyperactive but she is definitely disorganzed, forgetful and makes a lot of careless mistakes. I do not wish to get her formerly diagnosed because as a teacher who has been around many add kids, I have yet to see any "services" that help these kids. They only get the negative stigma that goes along with it.

My opinions aside, though, I have been looking into Nuerofeedback and CarnioScaral Therapy (my daughter was vacuumed out). I was wondering if anyone has tried these techniques and what their experiences/outcomes were.
