Update after 7 days abx; resistant

I posted last week about my son that had a OCD reaction to strep in sept of last year (he was urinating compulsively)

 

last Tuesday he tested positive for strep after being sick for for a few days

 

he was on cefadroxil for 7 days and not improving. Took him back in this morning along with 6mo dd as she became very sick over the weekend. We have all been diagnoses with walking pneumonia and ds's stre is still raging

 

both kids received abx injections and put on azithromycin

dh and I on azythromycin

 

so far no tics or OCD from ds

 

scarey stuff worrying about pandas with ds and a 6mo with pneumonia

Oh dear! I am sorry! I hope the new meds knock it out fast. I am glad they changed the meds and gave the shots too. I hope they both improve quickly. I am sorry you (and they) are going through all this.

Thanks for the update. hopefully you will all be well soon. Look at it this way, you're all sick, but you got the strong meds. How long did they write it out for? Did they do a strep test on the baby?

they didn't strep test her

we all got 5 day scrips
