giulia
Hello! I am from Italy, but living in the USA (VA). My son has had tics since he was 2 yrs old. He is now 99% tic free, since figuring out he has hypersensitivities to 11 items (foods and chemicals and one mold). Before finding out, I spoke to my uncle in Italy (a neurosurgeon) and he directed me to a TS expert (another neurosurgeon from Milan, Italy) who writes about using a "pace maker" to resolve tics in the worst cases of TS, as well as other kinds of deep brain stimulation. At this time I did not do any further research, because (THANK GOD) my son is doing SO well. But I heard from another member that they are more advanced in Italy when it comes to this type of intervention, so if anyone is interested in digging deeper I am willing to be the "bridge" to make it happen (not looking to profit from this, ALL FREE, just trying to help).
