Guest Guest_efgh
ALL Just thought we can have a database of the following.. Ofcourse, no two kids with tics are the same but still....... 1) What are the tics that your kids have and which of those are most prominent in general? 2) What are the common triggers? 3) Age of onset of tics 4) Age of maximum severity observed so far (statistically its generally 10, is it so in your case too??). 5) Heredity factor 6) Which of the tics are the most bothersome for your kids 7) Impact of tics on school life 8) comorbid conditions like ADHD and OCD 9) Prognosis so far 10) Seasonal impact - that is are tics maximum during hot summer days or cold winter days - if so, which ones? 11) Supplements and their role on tics . 12) asthma, allergies etc?? My answers 1) head shaking, occasional eye rolling and mild repeating words and phrases (vocal) 2) television, stress and heat 3) 9 years 4) yet to complete one full year, so hard to say 5) No one in either side of the family has it 6) head shaking during real hot days so far and vocal tics while watching TV. 7) So far, school life has not been affected 8) very mild OCD on and off 9) good 10)tics more during hot summer days 11) flax oil and vitamin/mineral supplements seem to help. 12) Yes, has asthma and is prone to allergies.
