Screen filter that minimizes computer flicker

Hi Everyone:

 

Just found this on the internet....

 

There are "some screen background colours are preferable to others and it is possible to get a screen filter to minimise flicker. These can be bought from most Personal Computer (PC) Stores. . . . "

 

Has anyone bought this yet? I'm wondering how hard they are to find, how much they cost, and does it work? Yet, I'm wondering if these screen filters actually are screening for the flickering of the content within the computer OR are in lieu of the non-flicker LCD monitors.
