kg5123 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Some doctors see my son as PANDAS and others just as regular TS. Being PANDAS or regular TS -- which is better for the patient? Should the parents sigh a relief when their child is declared PANDAS or declared TS? Anyone has any insight in this very fundamental but elusive problem? Thank for comments. kg5123
Megs_Mom Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Our issue has always been OCD or PANDAS - but I'll tell you our thought process. I used to wonder a LOT which was "better", wonder what I hoped for. Now I am not sure that it matters. All that matters in the end, is finding out which, and treating and accepting appropriately. Mostly, I just want my daughter to have a happy life - and whatever that means learning to deal with, or learning to overcome or treat. I just want to know (and to stop spinning in circles) - and somedays that seems to be too lofty of a goal! We are past the point of wanting a cure - now we just want remissions and treatment plans that let her live her life. I hope that makes sense. Susan (Meg's Mom)
