NancyD Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 The infusion center checks my daughter's blood pressure every 30 minutes (before, during, and after). I'm sure you are correct about high blood pressure. Also, our doctor says that if you push the IgG levels too high you can "make the blood viscous causing headaches and leads to cardiac strain." Nancy I just have a quick question. During IVIG and post, how often do they check blood pressure and would IVIG affect blood pressure? I ask because high blood pressure causes horrible, unbearable migraines.
ShaesMom Posted July 21, 2009 Author Report Posted July 21, 2009 Shae had her first infusion in the Ped's unit at the local hospital and then checked her blood pressure every 30 minutes as well.
